John Emms Commercial was established in Dudley in 1986 to provide specialist commercial, industrial and retail property advice in the West Midlands Region with a particular focus in the Black Country.

In 2026, 40 years later, the firm became part of Cottons Property Consultants LLP, a Birmingham based independent firm of Chartered Surveyors established in 1924. John Emms has continued as a Consultant with the firm and still acting for many national and local property owners.
